Hi,

Could you advise me about ac-coupling capacitance values?

In DS80PCI402EVK User's Guide(snlu118), the capacitance is 0.22uF.

Do you recommend 0.22uF for ac-coupling capacitance values?

    Hi Kato-san,

    Yes, 0.22uF AC coupling caps are the recommended value. Since this is a repeater intended for PCIe, the choice of AC coupling capacitor is such that it complies with the PCIe standard (Section 4.3.3.12.3), which calls for 75-265 nF for Gen 1/2 and 176-265 nF for Gen 3. The value of 0.22uF satisfies both these requirements.
