AM26LV31CD current

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM26LV31

We are doing some failure analysis and testing of diodes external to this part and want to make sure we do not damage this part.

If we have a 26 mA current source at the '1A' input pin of the AM26LV31CD will it stress the device?  What about -26mA current source? What should our source current at the input pins be limited to?

If we have a 26mA current source at the '1Y' output pin of the AM26LV31CD will it stress the device?  What about -26mA current source? What should our source current at the output pin be limited to?

Same question as above for '1Z' pin.

  • Lopa,

The A,Y,& Z pins have diodes to ground. -26mA for a short duration will not damage the AM26LV31.
There are no diodes to VCC. The "A" inputs will not accept positive current and should be limited to +6V. The "Y" and "Z" output will accept positive current at about 8.2V, but this is not recommended for production.
