XIO2001 PCI address not enough issue

We have a issue for XIO2001.

Our customer will like install more than 5 XIO2001 in the HP server, but the number 5 or more than 5 XIO2001 will disappear. ( 5-8pcs XIO2001 )

We know maybe it’s PCI address not enough issue. We want to fix this issue

Hello,

I reviewed the schematic and it looks correct, only a couple of thing to double check:

1) Make sure you are following the INTx# routing described on Table 2 of Implementation Guide.

2) What are the AD[] lines that you are using for each PCI card's IDESL signal?

3) Does the issue happens running the PCI bus at 66MHz?

This is probably a bus overload issue in which case the system is not able to allocate that many PCI devices, do you know if your system is able to allocate more than 4 PCI devices?

You can also make some tests using on XIO3130 EVM along with two XIo2001 EVMs to see if your system is able to handle that many devices.
