DS25BR110 with 120ohm line

Hi,

I need to use a DS25BR110 for a LVDS signal that is coming from a long transmission line. However, the LVDS signal is 120ohm, but the DS25BR110 datasheet states that the input is already 120ohm therminated.

How can I interface correctly the 120ohm signal to the 100ohm input impedance of the DS25BR110?

Hi Paul,

What is the speed of your signal? How many channels/package do you need? How long is your 120ohm transmission line?

I think the best solution if to use a LVDS buffer with external termination.

Here are the details

1) 600MHz

2) Only 1 channel

3) It is 3.3feet BUT... it is gage 42 wire. Attenuation will be around 6db.

I had consulted with our LVDS expert. He recommends DS25BR101, which uses external termination.
