DS90UB914A - BIST mode using GPIO 0/1

Guru 19785 points

Hi Team,

Could you please let me confirm about the BIST operation for DS90UB913A/914A ?

There is  "Table 12.  BIST Configuration"  in the datasheet page 54.

This table seems to be indicating the configuration for 12bit low frequency mode.
I believe the BIST configuration using GPIO pin also follows "Table 6 BIST Clock Sources" in page 40.

I am also understanding that in BIST mode, user could observe the frequency shown in table 6 at PCLK pin of DS90UB914A.

Is my recognition correct ?

Best Regards,
Kawai

BIST can be enabled either through the register bits (0x24 [2:1]) or viat the GPIO Pins.   In Table 12, it shows the various BIST configurations that can be enabled in 12 bit, low frequency mode using the GPIO pins.   Table 6 shows the clock sources and how to select them via the register bits.  The clock sources are different depending on if you are using 10 or 12 bit modes.

You are correct in that during BIST, you can observe the BIST PCLK at the PCLK pins on the DS90UB914A.
