DS34RT5110 – About the available input signals

Hi Team,

 

My customer would like to use DS34RT5110 with the “1080p120Hz” and “4k2k30Hz” input signals.

If about 3Gbps per data channel, is the each input signal supported by DS34RT5110?

And, please let me know, if you have the information that DS34RT5110 has been used successfully with this input signals.

    DS34RT5110 is capable to support 3.4Gb/s per data lane as an equalizer.

    I do not recommend DS34RT5110 as a 3.4Gb/s retimer, when the input video source contains high amount of lower frequency jitter (< 4MHz).

    Your understanding is correct. If you pull Bypass pin high it bypasses the retimer and enables the device to act like an equalizer only. With Bypass pin high, you can use the EQ0, EQ1, & EQ2 pins to set the equalizer gain response. Also, you can use DE0 and DE1 to set the de-emphasis as needed. Please note DS34RT5110 is rated up to 3.4Gbps

    I believe that we can’t use de-emphasis function, when Bypass pin = high.

    Must we not change the loop filter components(2.2nF and 3.3kohm) ?

    Do you have a data that DS34RT5110 allowed passage of the signal(“1080p120Hz and “4k2k30Hz””).

    My customer would like to confirm that the each signal is supported by DS34RT5110.
