DS125DF111 / VDD de-coupling capacitance

Hi,

We have a question about VDD de-coupling capacitance.

The data sheet says that VDD de-coupling total capacitance should be <0.5uF in 3.3V mode operation.

In addition, A 0.22 uF cap is recommended at each of the two VDD pins.

Could we set 0.1uF cap at each of two VDD pins?

Best Regards,

Kato

  • Hi Kato San,

At 3.3V mode, 3.3V is applied to VIN pin, VDD pins become the on-chip regulator output at 2.5V, and need external VDD bypass. We recommend 0.22uF at each VDD pin, with total bypass at VDD pin <0.5uF.

Is there any reason why you want to use 0.1uF instead?

    regards,

    TK Chin

  • TK Chin - san,

    Thank you for the reply.

I would recommend our customer to select 0.22uF at each VDD pin as written the data sheet.

Our customer just want to use registered parts 0.1uF.

    Best Regards,

    Kato
