about I2C pass through of FPD-LinkⅢ

Hi.

DS90UB913 (Serializer) and DS90UB914 (Deserializer), I want to use the I2C pass-through function of FPD-LinkⅢ.

At the time of system start, PCLK from a camera is not active so it does not input into the DS90UB913 PCLK pin.

Therefore, from a CPU connected in DS90UB914, I want to control I2C of a camera connected in DS90UB913 via I2C, but will the I2C pass-through access be possible in the state that PCLK and External clock do not enter in DS90UB913?

Hi Kenji,

I2C pass-through is possible even when you do not apply an external clk. If no external clk is applied the 913 will establish the link from its internal oscillator.

Hi Kenji,

Enabling Pass-though is the same for using an external pclk and the internal oscillator.

Please note that in addition to setting pass through you will need to either enter the camera's I2C address into the 914's Slave ID and Slave alias registers (Registers 0x08 and 0x10) or enable pass-through all (Register 0x21 bit 7). This is true when using an external pclk or the internal oscillator.
