Hi,
Please tell me the value of each resistors on Receiver Input circuit for SN65HVD7*?
I attach the circuit below , and resistors are R1, R2 and R3.
And, can you tell me the rated power of R1 if possible?
Best Regards,
Kuramochi

Kuramochi-san,
These values are not something that is typically shared and that is why they are not in the datasheet.
Can you explain why you need these values? We specify maximum leakage current over the voltage for both bus pins (unit load - which will pertain to R1 & R3 values), and we specify the absolute maximum ratings of these pins, which are irrespective of VCC. So if your application stays within the bounds of the absolute maximum ratings table, then these resistors will not be damaged. The only way to do so would be exceed these limits in which the device could be damaged and the performance cannot be guaranteed.
Thanks,
John
John-san,
Thank you for your reply.
>Can you explain why you need these values?
I need to connect a series resistor to the receiver input(Please see the following figure).
The reason to connect resistors is that the voltage exceeded the limits may be applied to the receiver input.
When a series resistor is connected, the signal is decreased.
I want to know values of resistors because I calculate the decreasing amount.
It is saved when you can reply it by 7/16.

Kuramochi-san,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Typically we recommend placing a series resistor in the range of 5 to 10 ohms. We have found that this is a good trade-off between creating a voltage drop between the internal protection circuitry of the device and the transient, and not creating too much of a drop that the VOD of the signal is compromised too much.
I would prefer not to post the internal resistor values online, if this is still something you fell that you need, please email me directly at johngriffith@ti.com.
Thanks,
John
