DS90UB914Q / Output State, Enable

Hello,

I have some questions about DS90UB914Q.

(1) Output States
In the datasheet P.46 table 9, Output states of DATA/CLOCK are Low state when input states are PDB=H, OEN=L,OSS=L.
However, in the datasheet P.20 figure 20, output states of DATA/CLOCK are Hi-Z state when input states are PDB=H, OEN=L,OSS=L.
I think that there is discrepancy these information.
Which state is correct ?

(2) I2S in the table 9
I can see the "I2S" from the outputs state.
Could you please let me know the meaning of  I2S ?

Is this typo of I2C?
There is not I2S and I2C, in the DS90UB914A datasheet output state table.

(3)L/Osc(Register Bit Enable) in the table 9.
Could you please let me know the address/bit of Osc(Register Bit Enable) ?

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • (1)  When OEN is L, the outputs are placed into the high impedance modes, and unless there is a pullup on the lines, they will drift low.

    (2) - I am not aware of any references to I2S in the DS90UN914A datasheet.   Table 9 has the resistor values for the IDx pin functionality.

I2S is an interface which is used to transport serialized audio data.

    (3) - Again, I am confused ny your reference to table 9 - On my copy of the datasheet this refers to the resistors used for IDx selection

  • Hello Mark san,

Thank you for the reply and sorry for not explaining enough.
    Please refer the DS90UB914Q-Q1 datasheet.
And I attached image of Table 9 from DS90UB914Q-Q1 datasehet with my questions.

    (1) Since when OEN is L, the outputs are placed into the high impedance modes, should these output be "Z"
    (2)What is this I2S of Table 9 ?
    (3)What is this Osc(Register Bit Enable) ?

  • Hello Mark san,

Are there any updating on this?
