  • Kato-san,

Q1.  Regarding the RXDET(RX-Detect), how do they work? If we set INPUT_EN=1, what is the function of RXDET?

Ans:  With INPUT_EN=1, the RXDET function is disabled.  The input termination will always be active when INPUT_EN=1 and the device is powered on.

Q2.  Regarding the Short Circuit Protection, how do they work?

Ans: The Short Circuit Protection is a current sense in the output circuit.  It will turn the output "off" if it detects a situation which is demanding excessive current.

Q3.  When SMBUS Slave mode is selected, how should we handle for EQ_D0,EQ_D1 pins?

Ans: These pins are not defined in the SMBus Slave mode. They can be left floating, no need to pull high/low.

Q4. Is RESET# active low?  I believe RESET pin name is wrong.

Ans: The truth table for pin 52 is correct.  This pin name should not have a line or bar over the name. The signal is designed to Enable/Disable the device.  Enable = 0 and Disable = 1.

    Regards,
