DS90UA101/102 copy protection

Hi! How to support the Copy protection by this serdes, if required ? There is no CP word(HDCP, encrypt,,,,,,)on the datasheet.

    Hi Toshi,

    The DS90UA101/102 do not have HDCP built in.  You can transmit encrypted data but you would need an external controller on both the serializer and deserializer to handle the encryption and decryption.

    Another option would be to use either the DS90UH925/926 or DS90UH927/928 depending on your needs.  Both of these pairs support HDCP and can transmit I2S or TDM audio.  The 925/926 in 18bit mode has two audio data channels for I2S dual stereo or two lanes of 7.1 TDM.  The 927/928 has four audio data channels for 7.1 I2S surround or four lanes of 7.1 TDM.
