TUSB3210KBDPDK - Firmware source code

Guru 19785 points

Hi Team,

I could not find the page where you could download the firmware source code for TUSB3210KBDPDK from the below order online button. It says, "File not found & you will be redirected to the homepage in xx seconds."

Has the download URL changed ?

Please also tell me if you would need to customize the firmware or not. Can you just use this source code without changing any program ?

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hello,

You can download it from here

    http://www.ti.com/product/TUSB3210/toolssoftware

    Regards.

  • Hello Elias-san,

I understood that "TUSB3210 Bootcode Source Listing" is the source firmware.

I am not much familiar to this device.

I believe you can not use this device without programming the firmware.

Do you need to customize the firmware ? Is it possible to use this device without customizing the firmware in the sample code ?

    Best Regards,
    Kawai

  • Hi Takushi,

Indeed the TUSB3210 requires a firmware and this firmware is application specific. The 3210 is a USB-based controller targeted as a general-purpose MCU (8052 integrated micro-controller) with GPIOs, withe the flexibility to be used for various general USB I/O applications.

TI provides source code for certain 'specific' applications (like the TUSB3210 Keyboard application) to serve as an example to customers for them to develop their own firmware according to their needs, therefore, customer is responsible for writing their own firmware. Additionally, in the website Elias pointed out, you can find the source code listing for the TUSB3210 bootloader, which can also be used as a starting point for the customer to develop their own firmware.

Could you specify the type of application intended for the TUSB3210?

    Best Regards,

    Alexis Cortes.

  • Hello All,
I am also looking for the eval kit source code and ran into the same problem as the original poster. This thread is tagged as answered when in fact it is not. Can someone please help with the source code (TUSB3210KBDPDK-FW) for the eval kit TUSB3210KBDPDK? I would prefer to have a starting example for my keyboard scan application!
    Thanks,
    Jeff
