LMH0030 Audio Control Packet support in HD

Dear Sir,

We currently use a LMH0030, with ANC path in order to insert Audio Data Packet in HD standard.

Page 13/37 of the datasheet , it seems that LMH0030 is not able to insert ANC into Y channel, only into chrominance channel (C'r/C'b) in HD standard.

The SMPTE 299M-2004 mentionned that Audio Control Packet shall be inserted into Y channel in HD standard.

How can we do this?

    Hi Thierry,

    I agree with your statements. LMH0030 is one of our older parts and the ASIC does not support ANC into Y channel. Unfortunate;y this is the way the device has been designed. 

    To get around this, perhaps you can consider operating the device in 1920X1080p@30fps. This is 74.25MHz at 20 bits. This way you would not be using Ancillary channel of the LMH0030 at all and you can do whatever you need.
