TUSB8040A / LEDAxz_RMBLx pin

Guru 29720 points
Hi Team,

I'd like to ask the function of LEDAxz_RMBLx pin.
I believe it only reflects 07h register(Device Removable Configuration Register).
Is there another function depending on the state of LEDAxz_RMBLx pin?

Best Regards,
Yaita / Japan disty
  • Hello Yaita-san,

The LEDAxz_RMBLx pins are read after reset to determine the removable / non-removable settings of the ports.  After reset, the LEDAxz_RMBLx pins become outputs that can be used to drive Amber LEDs that light when there is an overcurrent event on the associated port per the port indicator feature in the USB 2.0 specification.

    Regards,

    JMMN

  • The port indicator feature is optional and does not need to be implemented.
