DS90UB913A/914A test condition at 15m coax

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB914A-CXEVM, DS90UB913A-CXEVM

Hi TI, I'd like to know the condition of the 15m coax transmission test. I guess TI use a FAKRA connector and RG-174 coax cable, correct ? Under the condition, How much the Eye opening (Ew) of CMLout ? Where is the trigger point of the Eye pattern ?

The 15m test is something that was done in characterization, and is not performed on 100% of devices.   In characterization, we used a board very similar to our Evaluation board (DS90UB914A-CXEVM and DS90UB913A-CXEVM) which uses FAKRA connectors, and we typically use a coax cable such as RG-174 or DACAR037.  In this configuration, we connect the serializer to the deserializer and measure bit error rate with various different patterns being sent over the link.   The eye diagram that is available on CMLout is more of a diagnostic tool than something that is intended for making precise timing measurements on.
