Hello!
What is the current on the TD+ and TD- lines of the TLK106RHBR? I’m asking because I want to make sure that I provide for enough bias current to the Ethernet transformer without going overboard.
Thanks!
Eric

Hey Ross,
Thanks for the really quick reply! I didn't see an email for this so I didn't check it until now.
Could you please clarify for me how section 8 answers the question about current on the TD+ and TD- lines? I am not quite sure I understand.
Appreciate it.
Eric
Hi Eric,
Sorry if that was not very clear. Here is a break down:
10Mbps largest voltage swing 2.8V (2.5V typical), but lets cover worst case.
Use 50 Ohm termination
2.8V/50ohms = 0.056A
I would suggest that you allow for some more headroom on the transformer connection.
Hopefully this helps!
Regards,
Ross
