Using TUSB2077A on USB 3.0 physical interface

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB2077A

Hello,

I have a board with a TUSB2077A . When I plug this board into a USB 3.0 interface the hub is detected and also the all the downstream devices.

When I remove the board all the devices will not be removed for the Windows device manager and when I plug-in the board again nothing will work.

If I plug-in the board into a USB 2.0 interface everything works file. The board will be detected and undetected correctly.

Could or should the TUSB2077A work correctly on USB 3.0 interfaces?

Thank you for your help, Wamor

  •  Hello Wamor,

The TUSB2077A hub should work correctly due to USB 3.0 is a physical SuperSpeed bus combined in parallel with a physical USB 2.0 bus.

Please specify the complete testing environment that you are using (USB Host). What kind of downstream devices are connected to the hub?

    Could post your schematics?

    Regards.

  • Hello Joel,

Thanks again for your response. I am using a Clevo W150HRM self-build labtop with a NEC uPD720200 as USB 3.0 interface.
I could send you my schematic to your private email address. I don't like to post this on this board.
I currently only have connected 1 downstream device (FTDI FT232R) on port 5.

    Regards,
    Wamor
  • Hello Joel,

I did an update of the driver on my system and everything seems to work fine now.
Thank you for your help anyway.

    Regards,

    Wamor
