DS90UB913A /14A Test I2C communication

In order to test all the configurations explained in the application note "I2C over DS90UB913-14 FPD-Link III", is it possible use a slave I2C device and don't connect a Camera to the Serializer? Does The link work properly also in this condition?

Hi Nino,

My apologies for the delayed reply. What you stated is correct, you can indeed use any slave I2C device instead of the camera sensor - the link will work properly in this condition as long as there is a line connected to the slave device for SDA, SCL, and GND.

Hello Sean:
if we connect CMOS sensor parallel data to 913 but without I2C. Our 913/914 can work normally and 914 can decoding correctly ?

If we connect CMOS sensor to 913 with 12 bit parallel data but without I2C pin. (CMOS sensor I2C connect to DSP directly)

Does the 913/914 can work normally and 914 can decoding correctly ?
