Question regarding the TUSB9261.

On the data sheet is says this:

Best-in-Class Adaptive Equalizer • External CD

– Allows for Greater Jitter Tolerance in the Receiver

Is the equalizer on the USB 3.0 or SATA or both?

Hello,

The equalizer is on the USB3 side, it allows the USB3 receiver to compensate high values of jitter and loss.

That's good to know, because looking on the scope the USB3 eye diagram doesn't look too good.
Is there any information regarding the equalizer about how much it can compensate for loss and jitter?

Hello,

The equalizer is on the SSRX channel, so you won't be able to see the effects of this block. Unfortunately I couldn't find more details regarding the equalizer, however it must be better than the USB3 spec, if the HOST/HUB has poor performance, then the customer should look for the addition of a USB3 re-driver.
