Hello,
I know that this issue has been discussed many times on this forum, there are many answers.
But unfortunately I can not find the answer to my question.
I have mini-itx motherboard with IMX6Q on it, android 4.3.
HDMI output
Version HDMI 1.4
Supports 1920*1080P
1080p@30 FPS high-definition digital output
And i have from car LCD 6.5" with LVDS DS90CR216AMTD on input.
It's uses the 3 pairs + clk:
LVDS 0± LVDS 1± LVDS 2± LVDS Clk±
Resolution is 400x240 pixels
The original car navigation head unit use LVDS output SN65LVDS95.
From here, i trying to connect my mini-itx motherboard with android system by HDMI to the car LCD 6.5" .
Find this solution:
http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla325a/slla325a.pdf
But the SN75LVDS83 use the 4 pairs and 24 bit, or i can to disable 1 pair?
and DVI RX what type for my project is can suit?
Maybe there is a better solution?
Thank's a lot for any help,
Regards,
Andrey.
Hello Andrey,
Indeed, you can disable one pair. Please see the Figure 18 on the datasheet of the SN65LVDS83B (24-Bit Color Host to 18-Bit Color LCD Panel Display Application). You can use the TFP401A as the DVI RX device and the SN75LVDS83B as the LVDS transmitter.
Best regards,
Diego.
Hi Andrey,
With these types of LVDS serializer you can tie the inputs to GND and terminate the unused LVDS output with a 100 ohm diffeerntial termination.
If you are looking for a device that supports native 21-bit (3 data + clock), you can consider the DS90CR215 or the DS90CF383.
