DS92LV2421_2422 internal pull-down resistor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV2421

Hello,

My customer uses the DS92LV2421/22, has some questions.

It is mentioned Input LVCMOS w/pull-down on the datasheet.

Q1) How mach is the value of the pull-down resistor.

Q2) How about the variation of the resistor value due to process variation?

Q3) If  he does not  use I2C, can he  left the SCL and SDA pin open?

Regards,

Naoki Aoyama

  • Hi Naoki-san,

    Please see answers below:

    1. The LVCMOS pull-downs do not have an internal resistor, so we cannot quote a specific resistor value. Instead, it is a weak current source pull-down that is on the scale of a few uA.

    2. See Answer to Question 1. No variation to resistance, because no resistor is used.

    3. If you do not use SCL and SDA, the outputs are designed according to SMBus specifications to be open drain. Therefore, they can be left open if you desire.

    Thanks,

    Michael
  • Hi Michael-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

I see there is no internal resistor.
I will feedback to my customer this information.

    Thanks,
