I purchased a TCA8418E-EVM for evaluating this part for a new product and have questions about using the TCA8418EEVM GUI app on the PC to change register values. I can use the 'Read Register' function to read part registers, and I've verified that the information that I read for reg 0x01 - 0x04 matches the graphic display of the TCA8418EEVM GUI app.

When I use the 'Write to Register' function, I see that the 'Activity Log' shows the register and value that I wrote. However, if I then use the 'Read Register' function to read the modified register the register value hasn't been changed from the initial configuration.

Does the launchpad host board continuously re-write the register values?

How can I use the 'Write to Register' function to modify the register values?
