I am interest on your chip part “ DP83848K “ (Ethernet Phy) to use in our medical application project. Before start using in our project, I have some technical queries regarding chip which is listed below please clarify us

DP83848K support CAP to CAP topology (magnetic-less coupling) ?
In CAP to CAP topology how much length we can run the cable between two PHY (In our case one PHY + CAP in one board and second PHY + CAP in another board – both will connect through four connectors + cable)?
If DP83848K (PHY) put in CAP to CAP topology in that case whether DP83848K (PHY) will support auto-negotiation or not?
Have you did any compliance testing for you DP83848K (chipset) at CAP to CAP topology or not.
You have SW driver support for DP83848K?

Hi Sathiyan,

Tests have been run for auto-negotiation with a link partner and 10/100 modes are operational. It was found that Auto-Negotiation does work, but that 10Mbps does not pass most of the IEEE standards whereas 100Mbps does pass jitter, RX/TX return loss and Vod IEEE standards.

10/100Mbps were shown to work for distances up to 100 meters.
