Hi Team,

Could you please tell us the functional difference between TLK10232 and TLK10034 ?

Our customer is considering to use TLK10034 instead of two TLK10232, as TLK10034 is quad channel and TLK10232 is dual channel transceiver. As TLK10232 is a newer device, I believe it has some advantages compared to TLK10034. If customer chose TLK10034 rather than TLK10232, what would be the main difference which would not be able to achieve ?

Addition to the above question, which solution would you recommend ? Could you please give us your opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

    Basically the TLK10232 is a reduced version of the TLK10034, hence if you review the datasheet of both devices are identical (share same features). TLK10034 consumes less power in comparisson with two TLK10232. Depending of the application of the customer we could suggest a wise configuration using TLK10232/10034.

    TLK10034 => Saves space & power

    TLK10232 => Cheaper solution

  • Hello Luis-san,

    I apologize for my delay. Thank you for your support and the information.

    I had roughly read the datasheet and I think the biggest difference in the function is the crosspoint switch. I believe TLK10034 cannot route the signals to the different channels, am I correct ?

    If there are any other function which cannot achieve by using TLK10034 from TLK10232, could you let me know ?

    Thanks and Best Regards,
