EVM for SN65LVDS179

My customer is keen to evaluate SN65LVDS179. Can't find any EVM for this device.

Can recommend a similar or best alternative EVM?

    The SN65LVDS31 is a quad driver and the SN65LVDS32 is a quad receiver.

    The SN65LVDS179 is a single full-duplex transceiver; that is, it contains a single driver and single receiver in the same package.

    There is no EVM for the SN65LVDS179.

    Since the SN65LVDS31 and the SN65LVDS32 were designed in the same time-frame as the SN65LVDS179 the design cells are very similar and the manufacturing process is the same. The customer can use the SN65LVDS31-32EVM to gauge the performance of a single LVDS driver and a single LVDS receiver with whichever media he chooses. The control pin handling is different but we believe the primary care about for customers is testing LVDS signals over different types and lengths of media (cable or trace) in different environments. The SN65LVDS31-32EVM should be suitable for this and the lessons learned will be applicable to SN65LVDS179 and other devices in the LVDS family.
