DP83816 / loop back test error

Hi,

Customer has loop back test error for DP83816. their system couldn't communicate normally.

The results differ from cable categories as follows. (○→OK, ×→NG: time out)

Is there something that is considered to be the cause of that?

    The DP83816 does not support Auto-MDIX so a straight cable cannot be used to connect two DP83816 devices.

    For the case where a crossover cable is used, I would expect the communication to operate the same way in both directions. Could you provide more information on the test setup? For the test with a crossover cable, are both DP83816 devices transmitting at the same time? What is the configuration of the devices? Are they linking via Auto-Negotiation? Is the link a 10M link or a 100M link? Is it a full-duplex link or a half-duplex link?
