DP83816 hardware evaluation on the board for IEEE testing compliance

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83816, DP83848-EP

Need infromation on DP83816 which is MAC+PHY device and IEEE 802.3 compliant.  If designed/Used on the Board what all the tests need to be performed to meet the IEEE testing compliance when used on the board.   need to get information on the test that needs to be done on teh board/pcb level so that the board will the IEEE testing conformance.

  • The University of New Hampshire Interoperability lab provides testing services for Ethernet compliance.  They have documentation on how they perform compliance tests (https://www.iol.unh.edu/testing/ethernet

  • Thanks.

I am using DP83848-EP in my design and need to validate total solution of the board including the PHY device, since  DP83848 is already IEEE compliant I need to waive of the test cases that are present in the IEEE compliance.  So that I can eliminate the test cases that are not required.  In order to do that is there any document or certified report to mention that DP83848 is  IEEE compliant.  It would be helpful if TI can provide certificate for this device or contact info so that  I can get intouch with any team members to get document for evidence.
