XIO2001 BIOS startup problem and request for EEPROM data and writing tool

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XIO2001

Hello,

we're using the XIO2001 bridge in front of the C6424 DSP with PCI. The XIO2001 EEPROM is populated but blank for the moment.

The problem is as following:

  • When our card is plugged into the mainboard at power up, the BIOS screen does not appear and the mainboard is not booting / hangs.
  • When the card is hot plugged shortly after power up, the mainboard is booting normally and the XIO2001 gets detected and enumeratied (lspci) but the bridge does not get configured (no kernel module is assigned) and probably therefore the DSP behind the bridge does not get enumerated.
  • The config space dump by lspci seems to be ok, it shows default values of XIO2001, so we don't think there is a signal integrity issue. EXT_ARB_EN is pulled down by 10k.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Could anybody also please provide us the default EEPROM data and the respective tool to write the data?

Thanks in advance.
