TUSB9261 / Power down sequence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB9261

Hi All,

I believe that there is no power down sequence for VDD and VDD33 of TUSB9261. Then is there possible of stress or damage if either VDD or VDD33 shut-off due to power supply problem will be happened?

Your comment will be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Sonoki / Japan Disty

  • Hi Sonoki,

The TUSB9261 does not have a specific power -off sequencing requirements with respect to VDD (core power) or I/O & VDD33 (analog power), although is recommended that this device operates to the recommended conditions, and it is likely that if the power supply fails continuously, maybe the device could be damaged.

Also, it is important to mention that depending of the problem presented by the power supply, e.g. overshooting likely will damage the device, in case that just the power supply shut-off is needed Power-Up and Reset Sequence (Sec 8.3.1.4 datasheet TUSB9261).
