Can I use the DS100BR111 in a 100 ohm diff pair implementation of 3G-SDI? Will it work with unbalanced serial data?

    Hi Matthew,

    No, the DS100BR111 is not designed for use in 3G SDI applications. The repeater has only been validated and tested for use in active copper-cable Ethernet/Storage Applications. The 3G SDI requires compliance to SMPTE standards and are therefore supported by the LMHxxxx side of our product line. Are you looking for anything in particular? Cable equalizer, reclocker, or cable driver?
