DS90UB913A' data input/output?

Dear all,

My customer use DS90UB913a/914A with APT100 ISP and they've finished their board design. Their board just can be worked with internal oscillator mode only (the PCLK out is changed with 914 mode set) and doesn't accept Aptina sensor's data input. Is there any possible problem in customer's board design? Thanks for helping.

Customer's VDDIO in 913 is 2.8V.

  • Hello Gary,

The PCLK out mode is changed with the 913A mode set, not 914A mode set pin. The 913A should be set in direct PCLK mode from image sensor which involves 100k resistor to GND and a 10k resistor to 1.8V on the 913A MODE pin (page 29 of the datasheet).

Please ensure that the 914A mode set pin is set to the correct bit mode - either 10 or 12 bits. I do not know the exact part number of the ISP you referenced as APT100, although I believe the 100 series of Aptina ISP's all output in 10-bit mode.

Lastly, please probe the PCLK output on the ISP and PCLK IN on the 913A board to ensure that the PCLK is correctly going into the serializer. The frequency range for 10-bit mode on the 913A/914A is 25 MHz - 100 MHz.

Also, what is the VDDIO regarding the data pins for the Aptina ISP?
