My customer want to do an Ethernet Compliance Test with DP83848K using MII Interface.

So, Please let me know how to access to MII register for the Ethernet Compliance Test

And, Do you have the sample program of any TI processor using MII Interface .

Hi,

By another thread, I understood how to configure the DP83848 registers to generate test patterns for 10Base-T.

Could you tell me about 100base?

In the case of 100base-T, I think that the compliance test is possible with IDLE pattern. So,It is only set to 100base the DP83848.

Is theis correct?

Hello Taka-san,

You are correct, configure the device for 100Base-T operation.(write the BMCR, register 0, to a value of 2100h.

This will configure the device to 100Base-T, Full Duplex.

Are you using a commerical compliance test suite? If so, would it be possible for you to share thisinformation with me?

Hi Taka-san,

In my lab I use the Tektronix TDSET3 Etherrnet Compliance test Suite.

I know that there are other compliance suites available from other vendors.

I would like find out the types of tests suites being used so that I could build

up my knowledge base with the different test suites.

Hi John-san,Sorry for my late reply.
I confirmed it with them. They use the Keysight (Agilent) Oscillator and the Compliance Software.
After the compliance test is completed, I will revert to you again.
