DS90UB940 Pattern Generation

Hi Team,

We would like to check the link between panel and DS90UB940 by pattern generation function.

For now, we don't connect the serializar to DS90UB940.

What hardware and registers setting should we do for pattern generation function?

Should we need to know the spec. of the MIPI panel?

In Baytrail T platform, we need to send some instructs to MIPI panel.

For the DS90UB940 EVM, how do we send the instructs to panel?

    Hi Prescott,

    There is an app note that explains how the pattern generator works: www.ti.com/.../snla132c.pdf

    We can also provide a python script (also useful as pseudocode) to configure the pattern generator for specific panel timing. We would need to know the parameters: total horizontal pixels, total vertical pixels, active horizontal pixels, active vertical pixels, horizontal sync width (in pixels), vertical sync width (in lines), horizontal back porch width, vertical back porch width, and pixel clock.

    I'm not sure what you mean by sending instructions to the MIPI panel. What are you trying to do, what is the system architecture?
