DS38EP100, DS80EP100 - How to distinguish the two devices from IC marking.

Hi Team,

We have total two DS38EP100 or DS80EP100 EVM. However, I cannot distinguish which device is on the EVM. Could you give us the information how to distinguish them ?

Hi Kawai-san,

The difference is in the IC marking of the U1 part. I will check with our Product Engineer to see what the difference is in the markings.

Hi Kawai-san,

I just received feedback from our Product Engineer:

The marking of on the IC is done in the following format for the DS38EP100:

YM = YEAR MONTH DATE CODE
L = LAST DIGIT IN ASSY LOT CODE

The marking of on the IC is done in the following format for the DS80EP100:

YM = YEAR MONTH DATE CODE
L = LAST DIGIT IN ASSY LOT CODE

Thanks for the information !!

I guess I have the older part as the board I have is built in 2006. It may not be the production sample as they do not have the part number such as 38 or 80 on their marking.

I will ask for latest EVM from our sales.
