TLK105L - Enhanced link detection and Fast Link loss(Link loss reaction time)

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask EtherCat with TLK105L?

On the Beckhoff specific, Enhanced link detection is required.
Link loss reaction time is not required less than 10us, so basically, are both contents required?
As our recognition, if Enhanced link detection is satisfied, it is no matter about the Link loss reaction time(default value is 250us).

Hi Hirotaka san,

The link loss reaction time is related to Enhanced Link detection for TLK105L. The Beckhoff spec requires a link loss reaction time faster than 15us. The TLK105L can achieve this by enabling Enhanced Link detection through register access. This PHY is compliant with the Beckhoff EtherCAT specification. When Enhanced Link detection is enabled, the TLK105L will drop the link in less than 10us.

That is correct. There is a section in the datasheet dedicated to talking about fast link down.
