Interfacing Parallel RGB to MIPI CSI-2

Dear Friend,

We are looking for a parallel RGB to MIPI CSI-2 converter to interface between a Marvell processor and a camera module. We know that SN65LVDS315 is a parallel RGB to MIPI CSI-1 converter, and is there a scheme to interface CSI-1 and CSI-2 if possible? Thank you very much!

Robert,

The LVDS315 outputs MIPI CSI–1. The Marvell input spec probably says CSI–-2 input only, though chances are they can also handle CSI–1 (our OMAP usually can).

CSI–1 and CSI–2 differ in both the phy signaling as well as from a packet perspective. The are not interchangeable though wireless companies on the apps processor input likely support both.

Is this chip supports DSI output, we have DSI input only

The chip does not support DSI - it only supports CSI-1.

is there any other chip which can support DSI MIPI Tx, i am looking for D-PHY Rx also which i can use in FPGA system, is the FPGA can be used as LVDS input and decode the information in the FGPA itself?

Atul,

I am not aware of any discrete DSI transmitters or receivers from TI.
