About unused SN65HVD3082E (A & B pin)

When SN65HVD3082E mounted on a board, but eventually this wasn' t need.

I think that unused SN65HVD3082E's A & B pin recommend to OPEN.

Is there risk to make the A & B pin SHORT? (or no problem?)

Hi Satoshi-san,

It is OK to have the A and B pins shorted together. When this is the case, though, the driver should be disabled (DE pin pulled low) to avoid having a larger output current.

Satoshi-san,

Yes, this is OK since there is an internal pull-down resistor on the DE input. This means that if the pin is left open, the signal will still be at a logic low level and the driver will be disabled (high impedance).
