What is TPL0102 Really Resistance Values Formula ?!

Operation in rheostat mode A (p.3):

RWL's ideal resistance values formula is "Rtot*(D/256)"...........

But..... really have "terminal resistance(RL)" and "Wiper resistance (RW)" (p.6)

So, may I define the formula as below?!

RWL = Rtot*(D/256)+RL+RW

  • Hello Rock,

    Thank you for your question.

    The formula Rwl = Rtot * (D/256) already takes into consideration the "terminal resistance (RL)" and "Wiper resistance (RW)".  These resistances do not need to be added to the formula for the formula to be correct. The fomula is defined as Rwl = Rtot * (D/256)

    Please be advised that the absolute values of the resistance can vary significantly, but the Ratio (Rhw/Rwl) is extremely accurate.

    Regards,
