Hi Team,
I use the DS90UB929 and DS90UB940 to do HDMI to MIPI CSI2.
Could DS90UB940 direct link to MIPI panel or need an application processor then link to display?
Thanks.
Prescott

Hi Prescott,
Usually a panel that has MIPI input wants DSI (display serial interface), not CSI (camera serial interface). These interfaces are similar but not compatible. Therefore there would need to be an application processor in between.
Thanks,

Jason,
So you are saying we do not have an HDMI > MIPI one IC solution, correct? Nothing to compete with the TC358743? We're actually looking for HDMI to eDP, and MIPI seems to be an acceptable format.

Hi Leonard,
I don't know of a chip like that, but my group only supports automotive serdes that happen to have these interfaces on the input or output. A single IC solution such as what you suggest would come from a different group (perhaps whatever team developed the SN65DSI96).
