LMH1983 INIT signal

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH1983

Hi Team,

We have a question on LMH1983.

What is the purpose of the input INIT signal?

We read from the datasheet, and it mentions that it is Reset signal for audio-video phase alignment (rising edge triggered),
but we don’t really get what it means.

BR,

Peter

  • Hi Peter,

The purpose of the INIT pin is explained in some further detail on p. 19. The INIT pin can be used to trigger a reset of the alignment between TOF4 and TOF1. TOF4 is used for audio signals, and CLKOUT4 typically is the output audio clock. TOF1 is used for video signals, and CLKOUT1 is the output video display clock. This pin can be used when a misalignment occurs in order to cause a re-synchronize with the corresponding video.

    Thanks,

    Michael
