SN75LVDS83B Data not input(D0-D27)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVDS83B

Hi.

SN75LVDS83B

When SHTDN * pin is High level of state, and data isn't input to D0-D27 (CMOS IN) .

LVDS OUT pin, what kind of data is output?

Best regards

  • Hello Cafain,

It depends on the state of the inputs, please refer to the VIH & VIL parameters on the datasheet. Also the outputs shall be active only when the input clock is running and stable.

    Regards,
    Diego.
  • Hi Dieqo-san

    Early comment, thank you.

The D0-D27 pin it understands the pull-down resistor (100kΩ-typ) is built-in.  (Data sheet page7 Rpdn)

Since you are pull-down, D0-D27 pin is I believe "LOW" of the case of the unconnected.

Do I have met my understanding?

From feedback received answers, please let Question 2 points.

    1) If D0-D27 is not connected, if entered PCLK, or Low data is LVDS output?

    2) D0-D27 is not connected, if there is no input of PCLK,    What are the data from the LVDS output? ("L" or "H" or "Unknown")

    Best regards

  • Hello,

You are right, all the inputs have a weak pull-down resistor, which is intended to provide a default value, however since it is a weak pull-up, the input might be easily affected by the environment, so please handle the outputs as unknown when the input clock is active and the input data is floating.

    Best regards,

    Diego.
