I have a couple of questions regarding the application of DS90UR905Q. Thanks in advance for helping me.
(1) Should the RES pins be tied directly to ground, or tied with a pulldown resistor?
(2) do you always recommend putting a 10k pullup res and >10uF capacitor on PDB pin? Assuming we do not want to tie it to a micro pin. Could we use a smaller or no capacitor?
(3) Is there advantages to having PDB toggle capabilities? My thinking is, if there is a malfunction of the '905q device, we could potentially alleviate the malfunction by powering down and powering back up using the PDB pin. Is this a possibility?
(4) If we are setting the configurations (De-Emph, VODSEL, RFB, etc.) of the '905q using I2C registers, can we leave the physical pins for these parameters open? As in, can I leave RFB pin open if I set RFB with I2C? And is it different for ID[x]?
(5) One of the TI Sales Engineers once advised to me that for the input pins that are connected to a microcontroller output, we should add a 1k ohm pulldown resistor. Is this same value also recommended for input pins that we want to tie only to the rail?
(6) is there an equivalent circuit for the input pins of the device?
Thanks again for the help
