Hello, we have been using the TLK100 for some time now in part because it boasts cable diagnostic capabilities that we find desirable. However, until today we have never actually tried to look into those features. In looking at the datasheet, it isn't clear how to instruct my software programmers on implementing the features. Are there applicaiton notes, or perhaps some sort of user's guide providing such guidance, or maybe even some source code snippets implementing the features that we can get hold of?

Hi Ben,

Here is a link to a thread that describes the cable diagnostic functions. I am still working on a formal App note for it. There is a link to a document on TDR and ALCD but it is not a formal application note.

Ross, is there a way to obtain what you may have written at this point? I don't think we would have any problem getting an NDA signed if need be. The DSA feature of the chip is not well described in terms of how to interpret the contents of the output register, so anything you have for guidance would be useful. The thread you pointed me to only seems to apply to the TDR and ALCD portions.
