TUSB3410 question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB3410

Hi Sir

My customer now have two issues when they use other USB to UART solution.

  1. COM port assigning would be stacked up while changing a new sample board.
  2. Does the sequence of COM port assigning synchronize to COM port A/B/C/D?  They need a function that COM port sssigning must follow a sequence A->B->C->D and start from port A.

They want to use TUSB3410 replace original solution. But they worry about if they use TUSB3410 the problem still exist.

May I know TUSB3410 could support above reuqirements?

Thanks

Best Regards

James

  • Hello James,

Yes the COM assigning will be stacked up when you connect a new TUSB3410, (COM3, COM4, COM5, etc..).

When you connect a TUSB3410 board for the first time the system assign the next COM instance that is free. This behavior is managed by Windows not by our device.

    Regards,

    Roberto.
