My customer has a question about DS92LX2121/2.

[Q]

They don' t use back channel.

Is it possible for DS92LX2121/2 ?

Is the way I2C Pass-Through bit (0x3, bit 3) = 1(Disabled) ?

    Greetings Hiroshi-San,

    On DS92LX2122 register 0x01[2] enables or disables the back channel communication. Please make sure the customer sets this pin to 0 whether in camera or display mode.

    I understood how to disable the back channel communication.
    Please tell me about camera mode and display mode.
    They want to use DS92LX2121/2 for I2C communication as slaves.
    ( Transmitter(I2C Master1) - DS92LX2121(I2C Slave1) === DS92LX2122(I2C Slave2) - Receiver(I2C Master2) )

    Please allow me to understand the application correctly. The camera and display mode of operation are explained in the data sheet.

    1). Based on your earlier comment it seems the customer does not need back channel I2C communication.

    2). Secondly the customer needs both DS92LX2121 and DS92LX2122 to operate in slave mode.

    A). Please confirm if my understanding is correct.

    B). Now the customer is asking how to set this up?

    I confirmed your questions to my customer.
    The answers are as follows.

    A) Your understanding is correct.
    They don't need back channel I2C communication.
    They need DS92LX2121/2 to operate in slave mode.

    B) They are going to think of it now. They got the EVMs recently.
