[DS90UB948-Q1] display module for evaluation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB947-Q1, DS90UB948-Q1

Hi,

I'm considering to use DS90UB947-Q1 and display module for evaluation of the DS90UB927-Q1.

In this time the target device is DS90UB927-Q1, however it will support the 1080p, we try to use the DS90UB947.

We want to project an image on the display, but does not know or may be selected any display.

On choosing the display, what is any important thing?

Also, please let me know in the case of DS90UB926.

Best regards,

Tomoaki

  • Tomoaki-san,

Thank you for considering our products.
I am trying to understand your question. You want to display an image on the 1080p display. You consider to use DS90UB947-Q1 future. You use or evaluate DS90UB927-Q1 now. You also plan to use DS90UB926-Q1. What a display model is used for the evaluation?
    Is my understanding correct?

I can see DS90UB948-Q1 in the title. Do you also want to DS90UB948-Q1?

  • Hi Sugiura-san,

    Thank you for yorur reply.

We want to evaluate the communication of image processing applications.

This time, because we have assumed the 720p, use DS90UB927.

In order to evaluate this, we have chosen the desirializer and monitor.

In the future, since we may also consider 1080p, it's good that desirializer and monitor can corresponding 720p and 1080p.

Since DS90UB948 is a OPEN LDI output, I do not have to whether knowledge choose what kind of display.

I want to know be there is difficalty to the DS90UB927 and DS90UB948 connections.

Since I don't understand well the choice of display, if there is recommended display for both 926 and 948, please tell me.

I want to use DS90UB948, if possible.

    Best regards,

  • Tomoaki-san,

The 927 can be connected to the 948 with STP up to 10 meter cable. The maximum PCLK is limited by the 927, 85 Mhz. Both 927 and 948 support up to 24 bit RGB bit data, and 720p resolution is limited by the 927.
The display should be compliant with OpenLDI standard. For the evaluation purposes pairing with the 948, it can be a 1080p display with single OpenLDI or dual pixel OpenLDI.
For 926, a RGB format display with 720p resolution is required.
