DS100BR111 to drive shielded differential pair

Hi,

I went through the datasheet of DS100BR111 and the test results with twin-axial cables are quite encouraging. May I ask whether TI has the test result with shielded differential pair? Or any suggestion for the application?

Hi JH,

We only have performance data for twin-axial cables. For the application of the DS100BR111 with shielded differential pair, it's important to know how much insertion loss you expect from end-to-end and whether the CTLE EQ boost and/or driver capability in the DS100BR111 can compensate for the expected losses. Also note that since the DS100BR111 is a redriver, it is only able to mitigate losses due to ISI effects. The redriver is unable to mitigate issues related to crosstalk and reflections.
