Hello,

Could you please let me the problem when we use the crystal whic has 8pF load capacitance specifications?

The customer is using 12pF crystal , but they are reommended the 8pF crystal from crystal vendor due to 8pF is standard device.
And the vendor tested the 8pF crystal with TLK105 EVM.

  • In general, if an incorrect value of discrete capacitor is chosen, the result will be a delta in the ppm offset of the frequency. The TLK105 is specified to operate with a reference clock that frequency that has +/- 50ppm accuracy. Choosing the correct value of capacitors for the crystal is key to meeting this specification.

    The key to the load capacitance is to make sure that the discrete capacitors on the board are sized correctly for the crystal. Fox Electronics has a great application note on crystal operation and configuration:
