DS92LV090A Noise when it was mode switching

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV090A

Hi,

DS92LV090A

When you switch from DRIVER-MODE to RECEIVER-MODE, noise occurs in the differential signal.

What is the reason that noise is generated?

---Detail----

After the signal output to the line side from the system side (differential side) in the DRIVER MODE,

The moment you switch the output to the system side RECEIVER MODE,  You can see the noise (width of several ns) to a differential signal.

Detailed procedure of the switch is the following.

①DRIVER MODE (DE = H, REx = H) in the data output to the differential side

②TRI-STATE MODE (DE = L, REx = H) (a few ns) to switching

③RECEIVER MODE (DE = L, REx = L) at the output on the system side

※ During this time, the signal to the line side from the system side is the state that has continued to drive.

※ Once the sandwich the ②, it is because you did not want to make the moment that becomes even momentarily LOOP BACK MODE (DE = H, REx = L).

Best regards

  • Hi Cafain,

1). When you do #3 above, i was expecting there is a transmitter on differential side. Is this correct? Can you please let us know the sequence on the transmitter side as well? Or if possible can we have a block diagram to give us a good picture of the overall system.

2). Would it be possible to have scope shot of the differential side at step #1 and a 2nd scope shot showing noise that you are observing?

  • Hi Quote-san

    Tank you for your support.

There was my recognition mistake.  Noise occurs, it was switching timing of DE instead of REx.  Sorry.

Connector, ahead of cable, it is connected to the same LVDS device at the opposite device side.

The signal, for transmission and reception signal, in some cases the corresponding unit side to send.

    ■transmission sequence

    1.Before data transmission, switched to the TRI-STATE MODE (DE = L, REx = H)

2.After several tens of ns, to switch to DRIVER MODE (DE = H, REx = H)

3.After several tens of ns, and data output to the differential side

4.After the data transmission, switch to the TRI-STATE MODE (DE = L, REx = H)

5.After several tens of ns, to switch to RECEIVER MODE (DE = L, REx = L)

Block and the observed waveform, it will send later.

Because the user-like information, it can not be disclosed in e2e.

Please tell me the email address of you.

    Best Regards

  • Hi,

    It will ask further questions.

It will ask the device connection.

We have already connected the DIN pin and ROUT terminal.

For example, it is connected to DIN3(2pin) and RO3(pin3).

Do you have a problem in this connection?

    I think the anxiety,

It is set to DE = H, when you enter the data in DIN, DIN of voltage is applied to the ROUT.

This time RE # it has been set to "High".

    Best regards
